Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Cross River State Sports Commission (CRSSC) website and services, including facility bookings.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using this website and any related services (including facility booking), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or booking services.
2 Use of the Website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the site. You must not use the site to transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or data.
3 Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of the Cross River State Sports Commission or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use such content without prior written permission.
4 Booking Policy
The following terms apply to all facility bookings made through this website.
- Eligibility: Bookings may be made by individuals or organisations. You must provide accurate and complete information (name, contact details, organisation name if applicable, event details, and payment information) at the time of booking.
- Booking process: A booking is initiated when you submit the facility booking form. Submission does not guarantee confirmation. All bookings are subject to availability and approval by CRSSC.
- Approval: Bookings remain in "pending" status until reviewed by CRSSC. We will notify you by email once your booking is approved or rejected. Only approved bookings are confirmed.
- Payment: Payment (or proof of payment) may be required as specified during the booking process. You must upload proof of payment where requested. Failure to provide valid proof may result in cancellation of your booking.
- Booking confirmation: A confirmed booking is binding once you receive approval from CRSSC. The dates, facility, and other agreed terms cannot be changed without CRSSC's consent.
- Cancellation by you: If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, you must notify CRSSC in writing (e.g. by email) as soon as possible. Cancellation and refund eligibility are governed by the Refund Policy below.
- No-show: If you do not use the facility on the confirmed date(s) without prior cancellation, CRSSC may treat the booking as used and no refund will be due.
- Cancellation by CRSSC: CRSSC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to operational reasons, safety, force majeure, or other circumstances. In such cases, we will endeavour to offer an alternative date or a refund in line with our Refund Policy.
- Compliance: You must comply with all facility rules, health and safety requirements, and any conditions communicated by CRSSC for the use of the facility.
5 Refund Policy
The following applies to payments made in connection with facility bookings.
- Refund eligibility: Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Cancellation of your booking by CRSSC (e.g. operational or force majeure).
- Your written cancellation request received within the timeframes specified below.
- Duplicate or erroneous payments, subject to verification.
- Cancellation timeframes:
- More than 14 days before the first booked date: Full refund may be considered, subject to any administrative or processing deductions as communicated at the time of booking.
- Between 7 and 14 days before: Partial refund may be considered at CRSSC's discretion.
- Less than 7 days before the first booked date: No refund is normally given unless CRSSC cancels the booking or in exceptional circumstances at CRSSC's discretion.
- Non-refundable: Payments are generally non-refundable where you cancel within the non-refundable window, fail to show up (no-show), or breach these terms or facility rules.
- Refund process: To request a refund, contact CRSSC in writing with your booking reference, reason for request, and proof of payment. Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment where possible and within a reasonable period after approval.
- Changes: CRSSC reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy. The policy in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
6 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CRSSC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or services, or from any booking, cancellation, or use of facilities. Our total liability in connection with any booking or use of this site shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant booking (if any).
7 Privacy and Data
Your use of the website and booking process may involve providing personal data. We process such data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our privacy practices. By submitting a booking or using the site, you consent to such processing as necessary to fulfil your request and operate our services.
8 Changes to Terms
CRSSC may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For existing bookings, the terms in effect at the time of booking apply to that booking.
9 Governing Law and Contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cross River State, Nigeria.
